» I am an actor and web designer. I consider myself very lucky that I get to pursue two careers that I love, rather than be stuck in some cubicle or fast food joint wondering what could have been.
» I hope to live in or around NYC by the end of the 2008.
» Some have described me as an "old soul."
» I keep my mouth shut more often than I should—I sometimes forget that what I have to say may be worth listening to.
» My siblings are all cats.
» ...Which by law means I'm an only child. :P
» Music inspires most of my artistic work. Actors will usually site other actors as their performance influence, but my list contains all singers. (Morrissey, David Bowie, Jarvis Cocker, hide, Kyo...)
» My favorite anime is "Shoujo Kakumei Utena," and as geeky as it may sound, it had a huge impact on my life. The message of its story is very personal to me.
» I adore Warren Madden, but is because I really do or because I love the confused and creeped out reactions I can get out of people by loving a Weather Channel meteorologist so obsessively?
» I put a lot of thought into gift-buying for people. I believe it's a really important way to communicate to a person that you understand them and appreciate their tastes.
» Nearly all of my favorite music comes from Japan or Britain.
» I used to be afraid of dogs until I met my boyfriend's dog Morgan. Now I'm a dog lover, and I miss her every day (may she rest in peace).
» One of my sayings over the years has been "Pain is inevitable; happiness must be fought for."
» "Demian: The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth" by Hermann Hesse has played a significant role in shaping how I view life.
» I have little tolerance for drama. I was beyond it in high school, and I'm beyond it now.
» Most people with my birthday would say it's three days before Christmas. I say it's one day after Stalin's birthday.
» I can communicate in Japanese and Spanish. Theoretically.
» My all-time favorite band is the Manic Street Preachers. I think "The Holy Bible" is one of the greatest albums ever made.
» My idol growing up was John Lennon.
» I epitomize the saying "still waters run deep."
» I have friends I haven't talked to in years but still think about every day.
» I have a penchant for bizarre Hello Kitty merchandise.
» I consider myself an accidental Buddhist. When doing a semester-long research project on the Dalai Lama, I discovered that many of the main tenements of Buddhism are things which I have been following in my life daily for years.
» It drives me crazy when people who claim to be BIG Jrock fans don't even know that hide and hyde are NOT the same person! And they're not pronounced the same! *shakes head*
» It's hard to make me mad and lose my temper. Really, really hard. So, if you've made me do that, you must have done something really awful.
» I love watching late night talk shows. I love the Daily Show, Colbert Report, Letterman, and Conan--they're practically the only TV I've watched for the last ten years. And I HATE Leno with a passion.
» William Shatner's cover of Pulp's "Common People" is one of the greatest things I've ever heard.
» Growing up with a single mother made me very conscious about the way relationships work and don't work at an early age. It's part of the reason why my views on relationships tend to be very practical and realistic.
» Actually, there's a lot I've learned by watching my mother's mistakes and triumphs, for better or worse. I definitely know how to manage my money better than she does.
» Even though I don't like peanut butter plain and I'm not a big chocolate person, I'm obsessed with Reese's candy. OBSESSED, I tell you!
» I used to want to be a writer, especially a screenwriter, until I realized that making a plot develop is almost impossible for me.
» I can't sing or dance, no matter how hard I try. So don't expect to see me in any musicals.
» I believe in keeping the past in the past. Once a person is cut out of my life, they are gone. Period.
» The above doesn't apply to people who've drifted out of my life, though. Those people are still a part of my life, whether they know it or not.
» I've worked hard to get what I want in life, but it seems like nearly every great opportunity I've had wasn't earned, but in fact was the product of luck and being "in the right place at right time."
» I almost never read fiction anymore. Nearly everything is humorous essays and autobiographies, philosophical, sociological, or related to one of my careers.
» I do Sudoku to help myself fall asleep at nights.
» A lot of who I am came as a result of my grandfather's death. I began to explore a lot of things outside the mainstream, which has shaped my tastes and who I am.
» I do not have the memory to quote from things. Words don't stick in my head unless they're said directly to me.
» As geeky as I am, I'm not into sci-fi or fantasy. I feel very disconnected when I read or watch it.
